ARNAB SEN
Founder & CEO
In his illustrious career, Arnab has successfully assisted many foreign investors and high net worth individuals from Middle Eastern, Russian and South East Asian countries to establish their businesses, gain valid visa status, renewal and extension applications and obtain residency in the UK. He also represents UK companies who are looking to either employ EEA or non-EEA nationals or where existing employees have limitations on their continued employment. Arnab leads the firm’s service offering of providing Tier 2 Home Office Compliance Audit Assistance to Employers.
Another of Arnab’s more notable work has been his experience in Derivative Right Applications as Carer to British or EEA nationals, EEA family member’s residence documents, private Asylum and Human Rights applications. Arnab’s latest success story involved the handling of an Chinese national’s application where issues regarding the child’s ‘best interest’ were raised. You may read this case study here
As an entrepreneur himself, Arnab is commercially astute and is sought after for his negotiation skills and drafting of various commercial agreements needed by his corporate immigration clients as well as from local companies. Most recently, Arnab has also been involved in cross-border legal teams in contentious probate matters involving UK assets.
Since 2016, Arnab has been recognised by the Solicitors Regulations Authority as a Registered Foreign Lawyer (RFL) (Indian Advocate) with experience in areas of Personal and Commercial legal matters including UK immigration cases. Arnab had obtained his Bachelor in Law Degree with Arts (BA LL.B) from Calcutta University followed by an LL.M degree in International Business Law from the University of Manchester.
At Chess, Arnab also acts as the Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA), ensuring compliance with the Solicitors’ Accounts

Her commercial acumen and client-centric approach has led to a career spanning over 10 years working in Financial Services Authority (FSA) EMEA Regulations, Data Protection, GDPR, Insolvency and a variety of Corporate & Commercial legal areas. As a risk mitigation specialist, Shubhangi is knowledgeable in EU regulations and EU directives in EU Financial Law and is familiar with the international regulatory laws of many countries especially of Europe, Middle East and Asian regulators. Shubhangi’s in-depth knowledge of anti-money laundering processes means that she is able to advice clients on establishing Know-Your-Customer policies as well as checking and tracing the legitimacy of disposable funds in the UK.
At Chess, Shubhangi leads the direction of the firm in its relationships and management of clients alongside her work with her international and local corporate and commercial clients as well as with her corporate and business immigration clients who are on investor and entrepreneur visas. She also acts as the firm’s Data Officer.
Her daily work involves constant communication and liaison with several government, quasi-government and private agencies such as the Company’s House, UK Visas and Immigration Authority, Financial Services Authority, Information Commissioner’s Office, credit-rating agencies, banks and other agencies for filing regulatory reports or making relevant applications. Shubhangi takes great pride in her negotiating skills and in her meticulous drafting of commercial contracts, policy documents, reports and official letters.
Before joining Chess, Shubhangi worked with the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) for almost 5 years where she developed her core competencies in regulatory work.
Shubhangi was admitted as a Solicitor to the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 2007, was admitted to the Indian Bar as an Advocate in 2005 and is a Qualified Sarbanes Oxley Auditor.

Yulia qualified as a solicitor in 2015 and mainly specialises in transactional property law heading the Conveyancing Department of the firm. Yulia has extensive experience in dealing with commercial and residential property transactions, including but not limited to acquisitions and disposals of residential leasehold and freehold properties, acting for developers and purchasers in the sale of new build properties, transfers of equity, dealing with unregistered land, grants, assignments, surrenders/extensions of commercial leases and purchasing development sites. Yulia has gained experience in dealing with HNW clients and has acted for clients purchasing high value properties and investments in Central London.
Yulia also specialises in the area of probate and divorce related matters, including applications for financial orders.
Yulia prides herself in providing high quality legal advice in a timely and professional manner.
Yulia is fluent in English and Russian.

She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice and qualified as a Solicitor in 2000. She was once a partner in Figueiredo & Bailey Solicitors which was a legally aided franchise firm for 7 years. From 2012 to 2015, she worked at Bukhari Chambers Solicitors as a senior solicitor and practice manager. She is passionate about solving all manner of immigration problems and takes great pride in achieving life-changing achievements for our immigration clients and especially for families where the residency of children is involved.
Mrs Bailey-Perkins regularly deals with complex and challenging matters such as Settlement and Family Immigration, European Economic Area Regulation matters and the UK Points-based System. She is also well-versed in representing overstayers with genuine grounds. She is most recognised for her advocacy skills and impeccable specialist advice on all stages of immigration cases – from initial applications through to judicial reviews and appeals. She is also known as a Deportation Law specialist as she has successfully handled and prevented many unlawful deportations, once again preserving the sanctity of family life.

Nina is an experienced and commercially-minded business lawyer who has worked for top clients in London and Moscow. Nina’s practice encompasses litigation, non-performing loans, commercial real estate disputes and transactions, private client and family matters.
Nina has advised on and litigated cases involving contract disputes for debt recovery, disputes involving legal charges, equitable charges and charging orders resulting in orders for sale. Nina has extensive experience in relation to trust disputes in property litigation.
Nina’s experienced in advising creditors in situations where they have suffered a bad debt or have clients who are struggling to pays debts. Nina assists directors, debtors, bankrupt individuals and those with IVA’s on actions they can take/are taken against them and able to advise on the best way forward.
Nina has experience in dealing with developments and have acted for both investors and developers in cases involving sales and purchases of high-value properties in the prime London market.
Nina was responsible for developing an established City firm’s commercial properties practice from scratch.

Richard qualified as a solicitor in April 2015. He has practical experience in UK immigration law, having acquired extensive knowledge and skills in assisting his clients with bespoke advice and assistance. He specialises in all aspects of immigration law with particular emphasis on Corporate Immigration matters such as Point-Based System (PBS) – (Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 4 and Tier 5), Skills Work Visas, Sponsor Licence applications, and Employer Compliance Auditing/Right to Work Checks, as well as cases relating to Representative of Overseas Business, Start-Up Visas, Global Talent Visas, and Innovator visas. Rashmika is highly qualified, conscientious and dedicated Legal Executive with over 25 years’ experience in the legal field, the vast majority of which has been spent specialising in Family Law. Rashmika has a wealth of experience and deals with all aspects of relationship breakdown involving:

Rashmika brings with her a breath of knowledge and in addition to Family Law also has experience in Landlord & Tenant, Civil Litigation & Probate Law.
Rashmika values giving key and strategic advice to clients in the early stages, to help mobilise and empower them to a more hopeful future, whilst she advocates on their behalf until a just resolution is achieved in their matters.
Rashmika began her career at a London Law firm and then at a High Street practice being the Head of Family and Litigation Departments.
